Second RAM slot not working (Latitude E6400) Hello, I have this 4-year old laptop. I bought a Kingston 2GB DDR2 800mhz CL6 PC2-6400 module to install into the second slot (the first one has the stock 2GB RAM module). And I got RAM question, shall I put the memory sticks in SLOT 1/3 or stay with my current setup 2/4? Intel Core i7-4790 3.6g 1150 Asus Maximus VII Hero Z97 DDR3 1600 CORSAIR VENGEANCE LP 16GB (2X8) 240PIN DDR3 1600 SAPPHIRE RADEAON R9 380 NITRO 4GB DDR5 CRUCIAL BX100 250GB SATA3 SEASONIC 860W PLATINUM ACTIVE PFC:). Lenovo T440s RAM: What You Need. The Lenovo ThinkPad T440s has 4GB soldered onto the motherboard and an additional SODIMM slot, which is either empty (if you bought with 4GB) or has a chip in it. There is a memory slot accessible on the bottom of the machine where I can add a single 8 GB SoDIMM. I don't see any second slot nor is there anything indicating where that would be. The product page says I can upgrade the laptop to 16 GB, it currently has 4 GB. To check the new RAM wasn't defective, I tried it in slot 1, a known good slot. All 4 sticks of RAM worked in slot 1, so the RAM wasn't faulty. All 4 sticks work in every slot except slot 2 (the first black RAM slot). If I put any stick in slot 2 - old or new - the PC is dead, it won't even boot to the BIOS.

How To Enable All Ram
Hi and thank you.
I builded 1 year my own PC, Specs:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K ~4.0Ghz
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600Mhz
PSU: Thermaltake SMART M Series SP-850M 850W
MOBO: MSI Z97 PC MATE
WC: CORSAIR H80i
Since 6 months ago i was having a trouble: Sometimes when i was turning it on, it turned on and off repeatedly, the solution was: Remove the CMOS battery. 1 week ago a decide to clean it up, then i put everything back, and when i turned on, i got the problem, but this time removing the CMOS battery didn't work, i bought 12GB ram (1x8gb, 1x4GB Crucial Ballistix Sport @1600ghz), and helped me to understand what going on: Channel B (3 and 4 slots, counting from left to right) wasn't working right.
RAM in slot 1 only = boot
RAM in slot 2 only = boot
RAM in slot 3 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 1&2 only = boot
RAM in slot 1&3 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 1&4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 2&3 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 2&4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 3&4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 1,2,3, and 4 = Boot (No display, keyboard and mouse were not lighting)
I tried:
Update to latest BIOS version
Clean slots with Contact cleaner (DeoxIT D5)
I don't know how to check voltage, etc.
Thank you so much
